Birding Centers
In the heart for Dan district are two of the largest rivers in Israel - the Yarkon and Ayalon River.
As natural assets, they have great potential and importance.
These streams flow "under the nose" of millions of inhabitants and many residents who can be defined as "having limited access to high-quality natural sites" - for example, children and youth, with no driver's license, a population that chose to "get by" without a car and more.
This rare nature spot, with growing populations of fish and birds similar to any remote nature reserve, is only a short bus ride away.
In the Ornithological Center "Bird's head" a quality bird sanctuary is planned which will span over an area of 30 acres, with diverse habitats.
The bird sanctuary will accommodate a large crowd of students and vacationers, and will be operated by a professional team that will guide the visitors.
