Salima

Sima Oren is a basket weaving mentor and a personal and group empowerment mentor using weaving baskets using materials from nature.

Sima sits in the Artists Complex at the Knights' Halls in Acco and with the assistance of other women, delivers basket weaving workshops.

Within the workshops' framework, Sima tells her empowerment story and talks about her project for feminine empowerment.

As part of the workshop, each participant engages in basket weaving and after Sima reads the baskets and tells the person who wove the basket, what the basket says about them.

The workshops are designated for individuals, couples, and families, for groups, team building, women's circles and birthdays.

The studio also has a store that sells handicrafts of women participating in a socioeconomic project called "Women Weave Peace."
