Nature And Animals
In "Miriam's Maze," visitors can enjoy a guided tour along the winding paths between a variety of herbs and spices, on one acre of land.
The maze was established and is managed by Miriam and Eli Sade and is located in Moshav Nir Moshe in the Negev. Along the paths are stations with trees and plants of the "seven species," the "four species," and other trees that are written about in the Bible.
At the stations, visitors will hear stories about the source of the trees, legends, and everyday uses. During the tour, you will learn about various herbs using your sense of smell and taste (foraging is allowed!). You can prepare scented bags of flowers and leaves from fragrant spice plants, learn the uses of spice plants and herbs for the benefit of humankind, and, understand the ecosystem between the environment, plant, animals, and humans.
Also, fruit trees are grown for fruit picking (seasonal) including clementines, loquat, special plums, passion fruit, grapes, etc. All crops in the maze are organic. The tour will take about an hour and a half. At the end of the tour, visitors will get to drink homemade lemonade. Night tours are also available by must be coordinated in advance.
