Seahorse Winery

Sea Horse Winery, located in Moshav Bar Giora in the Jerusalem hills, is a small boutique winery.

Ze'ev Dunya, a screenwriter and film director, began producing wine after he directed a documentary film about wine in Israel.

The winery specializes in lesser-known varieties in Israel, such as the Zinfandel and Syrah.

According to him, if the Cabernet and the Merlot are classical, serious, formal, suit and tie, the Zinfandel and the Syrah are jazz. Sensual wines of a distinct Mediterranean character, expressed in aromas and flavors of local spices. The quality of the fruit is what shapes the wine, not modern technology.

The intention is to produce wines with a local identity, expressing the nature of the grapes of the Land of Israel.
