The Shalom Mayer Tower visitor center presents the story of the establishment of the State of Israel through the narrative of the city of Tel Aviv.
The center offers instruction tailored to different age-groups and in different languages, including a walking trail of the streets of Tel Aviv (the Independence Trail).
Guided tours for groups at the center: 20 to 50 persons.
Outdoor walking tour for groups: up to 30 persons; duration: about an hour.
Groups of 20 or more persons are entitled to a guided tour free of charge.
Groups of less than 20 persons: self-guided tour or extra charge.
A guided tour for individuals is held once a day, in Hebrew and English, at no extra cost.
Target audience: schools - kindergartens, primary, junior high and high schools. Instruction staff: teachers, supervisors, principals, etc. Informal education schools: nonprofit organizations, youth movements, etc. The security forces: soldiers, officers and senior command staff in the IDF as part of Sunday culture days, and courses of the Staff and Command College and the National Defense College, etc. Police officers, Israel Prison Service staff, the General Security Service and the Prime Minister's Office, all echelons.
