Cycling
A light trail in the heart of the blossoming HaSharon region, which combines remnants of the Coastal Plains with the oldest eucalyptus forest in Israel. Peddle calmly in a forest of carob trees and green grassy areas with both a wonderful winter and spring bloom. The trail is level and comfortable and allows novice riders to enjoy riding in the open and flourishing areas of the park.
How to Get There:enter into Hadera and follow the signs to the Hadera Central Train Station (west). Park your vehicle in the station parking lot.
The Trail:
0.0 [1] south: ride from the train station, next to the forest, to the active hospitality center of the Hadera Forest
0.15 (0.15) left (east): continue to pedal into the Hadera Forest with the Israel Trail signage towards the events garden.
0.40 (0.25) right (south): the Hadera Forest Events Garden. Continue with the Israel Trail signage on the main trail
2.27 (1.87) right (southwest): junction. Ride in between a grapefruit orchard on your left, and a Eucalyptus forest on your right.
2.92 (0.65) [2] left (south, southeast): junction. Entering the HaSharon Park, this is a forest park of carob with herbaceous grasslands and spring flowers
3.20 (0.28) left (east): junction. Ride towards the greenhouses. Continue straight (east) along the path next to pools of water. The water pools are full in winter and serve as habitat for amphibians and other animals
4.43 (1.23) [3] right (south): a gas station at the corner of the old coastal road. In front of the road you turn to the road with blue marking and you ride along Highway 4
5.13 (0.70) to the right (south-west): The path curves in a short sandy section. In part you cannot ride, you carry the bike on your shoulder. The trail leads to the Emek Hefer industrial Zone.
5.63 (0.50) to the right (west): the industrial zone, next to "Shivuk Mazon". Ride on the Industrial Zone road until its end
6.73 (1.10) [4] to the right (north): the edge of the industrial zone. Choose the path closest to the train tracks and ride along it in the Park Forest. Of all the roads in the area, ride on the westernmost trail leading north
8.25 (1.52) left (north-west): junction near the eucalyptus forest at the edge of the park. Continue along the path between the railway tracks on the left and the Hadera forest on the right (riding in a general northerly direction)
