A trip of Ein Poriah (Ein Kadesh) and Switzerland Forest is all about vistas, tranquility, and blooming flowers. Take your coffee-making kit, some snacks, and just go. 

How to Get There

In spring, we recommend driving here from the direction of Poriya. Take Road 768 that connects Alumot Junction and Poriya Junction. Turn toward Poriya Elite and follow the signs to the Poriya Hostel. Green, flowering fields unfold before our eyes from the very start, but this is only the beginning. The further along the road we get, the more flowers we see, and after one of the bends in the road, Lake Kinneret too is revealed in all its glory.

We continue along the scenic route, stopping from time to time to stroll through the blooming fields. The signs direct us to the Switzerland Forest scenic route. We carry on driving along the scenic route, discovering several observation points with benches and explanatory signs. There are also picnic tables in the forest to rest at and enjoy a few moments of magic.

Marked and orderly walking trails connect between the observation points in the forest, and they are highly recommended.

After we are finished savoring the landscapes and colors, we can continue along the scenic route until we get to Tiberias. We can leave that way, or we can backtrack to the Poriya Hostel, and take the particularly spectacular scenic route to Highway 90 around Lake Kinneret.
