Archaeology and History
The Acco Lighthouse is a lighthouse located in the Old City, near the port of Acco.
The lighthouse was first built in 1864 and first appeared on maps several years later.
The current structure was built in 1912 by a French company under a Turkish bid.
The tower is about 16 meters high and features two flashes of light every 7 seconds visible to a distance of about 12 miles.
