Kfar Nahum Capernaum National Park

At Capernaum, walking where Jesus walked takes on thrilling new meaning. Its famed synagogue stands over an earlier synagogue where Jesus taught and healed, built by the centurion whose faith Jesus praised, and the daughter of whose leader Jesus raised from the dead. You'll see a home like the one where Jesus cured the paralytic.

Around Peters house, where Jesus healed Peters mother-in-law, magnificent churches were built in antiquity; a modern church now rises over it. Nearby is Capernaum's red-domed Greek Orthodox Church of the Twelve Apostles with beautifully painted interiors.
