Wandern, Fahrzeugroute
The tour lasts about 8 hours, and a vehicle is required.
The tour will begin with the Louis Promenade, on a beautiful street in Haifa, overlooking the city, the Bahá'í Gardens, and Herzl's vision for the city. You will continue to the German Colony, which was built by the Templars in the middle of the 19th century, as one of several ""moshavot"" built throughout the country. You will tour between Templar buildings in the German Colony of Haifa, today - Ben Gurion Boulevard.
Afterward, you will drive north to Akko where you will tour the city's walls, look from an observation point on the roof of the Youth Hostel, continue to the markets and the Al Jazzar Mosque. You will descend to the ""Crusader city"" - the Knights' Halls and the Templar Tunnel (paid attraction). It is recommended to visit the hammam (for a fee). You will finish the tour in the port of Akko where you can get on a sailboat (paid attraction).
After a visit to the Old City and after lunch, you will visit the Bahá'í Gardens, north of Akko (must dress modestly, check the hours and days of the site opening). The walk through nature is invigorating, and you'll be able to see a view of the Western Galilee, or, descending to the pools in the cable car at the Rosh Hanikra site (paid attraction).
