A family bicycle trail at Timna Park

From the lake parking lot, you will ride on a wide dirt road (at the foot of the slope of Mt. Timna). At the end of the first climb, you will see a change in the color and shape of the rocks called ""Dike"" (penetration rocks).
Penetration rocks are formed due to a phenomenon when the penetration of molten rock material from the Earth's crust crept into the rock of the solid environment. You will continue riding until the ancient Temple of Hathor. This temple served as the main worship site throughout the park for most of the human activity in Timna. It is recommended to climb the stairs for a spectacular view of the landscape and to the see the rock engraving in Egyptian depicting Ramses III giving guidance to Ella Hathor.
You will continue a short distance until reaching Solomon's Pillars - large sandstone pillars created by water that penetrated the cracks and cause them to expand. From there you will ride in the open landscape along Nahal Nehushtan back to the lake.
