Jacko’s Street, located in the Mahane Yehuda market, is a kosher chef restaurant owned by three friends—Zakai Hodja, Rafi Revivo and Yotam Nisim.
Hodja formerly worked as a chef at some of Jerusalem’s leading restaurants including Canela, Angelica and Lara, and even worked with esteemed Israeli chef Shalom Kadosh.
Jacko’s Street boasts an open kitchen allowing you to watch the chefs prepare your dish, which is part of the experience.
The menu consists of a broad variety of dishes such as a salmon ceviche with cucumber and black sesame seeds with a shallot vinaigrette and a melon wasabi sauce; risotto with celery, chard, lemon and green garlic; fresh red mullet pan fried in preserved lemon, Kalamata olives, asparagus, fried eggplant and tomato salsa; and smoked duck sautéed in caramelized onions and mushrooms on top of a foccacia bread and a citrus salad.
