At the newly renovated Kidumim Square compound in the heart of Old Jaffa is the location of the "Kalamata" Restaurant.
The restaurant is located in an ancient stone building and offers a combination of an up-to-date Tel Aviv experience and the view of the ancient Jaffa Port and the sea.
The cuisine at Kalamata combines various elements of Mediterranean cooking, from Italy to Israel.
The menu is created by Chef Roi Ganchola, and it corresponds to Jaffa's culinary markets and culinary traditions and draws inspiration from the colorful kitchens of Greece and the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean basin.
The menu is divided into categories according to the nature of the raw materials coming from the port, the green grocer or from "butcher's alley" in Jaffa, and offers dishes of varying sizes.
Kalamata extends over two floors: the upper floor offers a small bar along with seating areas that look out through a large window directly to the Mediterranean Sea and the port.
On the lower floor is the restaurant kitchen, as well as a terrace with vegetation and small tables overlooking the square.
