The Route:
By walking and climbing to the top of the hill, you will reach 347 meters above sea level. You will notice ancient remains scattered around it, collapsed houses, mosaic floors, agricultural installations, caves, and pits.
These are the remains from different periods of the ancient city of Sokho, nowadays this is special hill due to the many Lupine plants that bloom from the middle of February to the middle of March, and is called the hill of Lupine.
Tel Sokho:
Sokho is mentioned as one of the cities conquered by Yehoshua Ben Nun together with the kingdom cities of Adulam, Azekah, Yarmut, and Sha'arim, which are mentioned later in the context of the Battle of David and Goliath
How to get there?
Route 38 - Sha'ar Hagai - Beit Guvrin, drive to the Ha'Ela Junction, turn east to Route 375 and continue on the road about 2.5 km until the first turn to the right on a dirt path to a parking lot.
